Tropical Heat Kimchi
Our TROPICAL HEAT KIMCHI is our Spicy Kimchi taken to the next level in collaboration with "Ferment Island". When Joel, the founder of Ferment Island, strains his hot sauces, he is left with the pulp. Rather than letting it go to waste, he dehydrates and upcycles it into the most amazing seasoning powder. As Joel was explaining this to us, the idea of making a kimchi with it became obvious!
This kimchi is fermented cabbage & carrot with garlic, ginger & onion plus Joel's "Tropical Heat" Chilli Powder! It contains Carolina Reaper Chillies & Pineapple, hence the name. This Kimchi has an expansive Spiciness to it with an edge of tangy goodness!
Kimchi is packed with naturally occurring probiotics, which are known to support digestion & boost the immune system. Kimchi is a great side dish for a variety of meals. In Korea, the country of origin they eat a small amount at every meal to aid with digestion.
To get all the probiotic benefits, kimchi is best consumed raw, although you can also cook with it. Stir fried kimchi rice is amazing! You can add to soups, curries and stews too for an extra kick!
Keep in the fridge! Kimchi keeps for up to 4-6 months no problem, although the flavour will evolve and get sourer over time.
